Lake Afritz is just a 5 minute drive away. Afritz am See is a small, quiet mountain village in the district of Villach and is located at an approximate height of 711 metres. Carinthia is an excellent winter sport destination. There are no waiting times here at the ski lifts and the region offers wide slopes for the whole family. You have a beautiful view when skiing, for example, of Lake Ossiach, Villach, the Karawanken Mountains and the Slovenian Triglav Mountains. The presence of snow cannons at the location makes good skiing possible from 1 December up to and including Easter. You are a 12 minute drive away from the ski lift in Klösterle. From there you go by lift to the Gerlitzen ski area with 60 kilometres of slopes. Bad Kleinkirchheim with 103 km of skiing slopes can be reached with a 25 minute drive. Both areas offer ample opportunities for every winter sports enthusiast! Besides alpine skiing, cross-country skiers can access snow tracks that are 16 km long and run through the breathtaking scenery of the Nockberge mountains. Afritz am See also offers opportunities for sledging, snowshoe treks and skating on Lake Afritz. Sauna €8.50 pro hour/room. Open from 18:00 until 21:30hrs
