The hotel is located 400 meters from the nearest gondola lift which reaches alpine skiing and sledding down an 11 km run. and 25 meters from the always on time Poste Bus which stops at the village civic center which includes the Tourist Information office. The bus can take you to lifts at Saas Fee and Saas Almagell. A 26 km cross-county ski trail passes just 25 meters from the hotel. Outside evening activities nearby include snow tubing and ice skating.

Owner Operator Beatrice Hogg resides on the premises, always involved in providing the personal service that comes from generations of service to the public in Saas Grund. Beatrice's Grandfather operated Cafe Dom in the nearby old village years before roads came to this altitude of the valley.
